Learning blocks
Learning blocks are our approach to providing life skills and values into the curriculum. Various topics or skills are rotated through our workshop time slots. Typically lasting 6 or 12 weeks each, these hands-on practical courses sometimes include high-quality guest speakers and presenters as well as some off-campus work experiences. Workshops are fast-paced, intensive classes in specific core class areas such as a Writer’s Workshop or Grammar Intensive.

independent TIME
Our schedule provides much needed time for students to pursue their own interests under parental guidance – maybe just to be alone in nature or do family chores. Personal Devotional time can’t be underestimated and should not be rushed. We encourage them to spend extra time with an instrument, gain work-experience and make money, or shadow a vocation they think they might be interested in. Parts of Mondays and Fridays should be devoted to study with parents. We want our students to be fresh and rested and to enjoy valuable family recreation and work time together. Students are encouraged to initiate clubs that meet outside of school hours. Perhaps Coding, sign-language or maybe Pickleball Clubs? We have patterned our schedule to allow for that.
