Assisting Families in Training ambassadors to the Community
Ambassador Learning Academy is a Micro-Educational Structure. We are a Private Learning Center offering support programs for families wishing to educate their children independently. At Ambassador Learning Academy, we are also proud to offer a unique educational experience within a warm community of families dedicated to investing in their children's spiritual and academic lives. We disciple them to be responsible citizens committed to making a significant impact on those around them. Our families take full responsibility for their children's education. Our goal is to offer organization and support and coursework with 2-3 day-a-week classes that seek to personalize student learning in a focused yet flexible way.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Ambassador Learning Academy was founded with one purpose – to build a space for all students to grow, learn and create with encouragement towards a Growth Mindset. Our scaffolding is intended to foster a collaboration of mentors with a community of aligned families and students. Through a unique teaching approach and a passionate staff, we aim to help students develop academically and personally to the highest level. Through some blended, integrated subjects and lots of hands on personal experiences we seek to broaden the exposure and vision of students and streamline the educational process by cutting out unnecessary busy work. We provide a framework that will meet the requirements for high school graduation in the state of California.
Our team approach includes students with a desire to learn and reach their full potential, parents who want to be an integral part of their child’s education, and mission-driven mentor/instructors who have both expertise and a desire to access real-world experience.
We believe good thinking should be nurtured and self-education takes place best in a community of students, mentored by adults with the aim to cultivate a passion for Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. The curriculum is complemented by the pursuit of restfulness in learning, through contemplation, conversation, and reflection. Deep engagement creates enjoyable, permanent learning.

Longitudinal Classes
Our science and math classes run year-long and are in larger segments of time. We are seeking to implement flipped classroom in some of these classes. This allows students to get the help from instructors with their assignments instead of slogging it out at home alone.
Learning Blocks
Learning Blocks are fast-paced and focused on particular subjects for a 6-week period and are rotated throughout the year.
Workshops
Workshops are intensive learning in a content area such as life skills, or writing and literature and will include guests who are specialists in their field.
Blended and Integrated Subjects
in the Humanities allow us to engage in subjects on deeper levels with time for Reflection and Conversation.
Project Blocks
Project Blocks combine multiple levels of learning and content areas and encourage application of learning in a practical, hands-on way.
Mentor Appointments
where each student meets weekly to discuss their plans and direction and have some accountability for time management. Mentors will help them scope out areas of interest and how to access learning in those areas. Students are free to discuss topics important to them
